A lot of learners make mistake as they read / pronounce words containing this character.

Once, I posted -here in this forum- a participation showing [ How to pronounce /ch/ ] and
for more clarifying, I would like to repost it here again. Hope to get good points from it.

كيف تنطق الـ ch في اللغة الانجليزية؟



توضيح:
ما يكون بين هاتين العلامتين / .......... / عبارة عن نطق أو لفظ للكلمة
مثلاً
school
تلفظ أو تنطق
/skool/

Ch is pronounced in three ways

ch/ as in cheese/
sh/ as in Chevrolet/
k/ as in school/

Words with /ch/ pronunciation usually have a Latin or Old/Middle English origin.

Examples: cheese, child.

Ch words with a hard /k/ pronunciation often come from the Greek ******** or Italian. Many of these terms are scientific or technical in nature.

Examples: chemical, chaotic.

Example: Chianti, a type of Italian wine.

Ch words with a soft /sh/ pronunciation often come from the French ********.

Examples: chivalry, chagrin, and chic.

لفظ الكلمة التي تحتوي على حرفي Ch في ثلاث أصوات

تنطق تـش /ch/ كما في كلمة cheese تشييز
تنطق شـ /sh/ كما في كلمة Chevrolet شيفروليت
تنطق كـ /k/ كما في كلمة school سكول

عادة الكلمات ذات الصوت /ch/ إما أصلها لاتيني أو انجليزي
مثال:
Cheese .... تشييز
Child .... تشايلد

أما الكلمات ذات الصوت /k/ فإنها يونانية أو إيطالية الأصل. ومعظم هذه الكلمات تكون إما علمية أو تقنية
مثال:
Chemical ... كيميكل


أما الكلمات ذات الصوت /sh/ فإنها فرنسية الأصل.
مثال:
Chevrolet ... شيفروليت
