The 29 Laws of Negotiation
 
1- Never accept the first offer immediately

2- Leave yourself room to negotiate

3- Know your opponent /Do your homework

4- Keep your mouth shut

5- Don't trust your assumptions

6- Never underestimate your power

7- Keep some things hidden

8- Be patient

9- Be stringy

10- Ask for something in return

11- Obtain a commitment from the other party

12- Limit your authority

13- Pick the right place and time for the negotiation

14- Establish trust

15- Be persuasive instead of argumentative

16- Ask better questions

17- Legitimize your position

18- Determine the correct strategy

19- Concentrate on the benefits to the other party

20- Have alternatives

21- Make the other party work as hard, or harder than you
22- Look the part

23- Use the right words to communicate

24- Read and use body ******** appropriately

25- Develop good interpersonal skills

26- Show determination

27- Never go into negotiation alone

28- Recognize the real value of funny money

29- Look for a Win-Win solution
